School Of Advanced Machines: MACHINE BASICS

Congratulations on the purchase of your new machine! We are honored that you have chosen Meissner Sewing & Vacuums Centers as your home for creativity. To make the most of your machine, it is highly encouraged that you attend our “quick start” program.

The first half of class will cover:

Machine navigation, TNT (threading, needles, and tension adjustment), and how to equip your machine so you can use it with confidence. 

The second half will show you how to use your sewing machine to make a zipper pouch.

Supply List:

• Your new machine with foot control and power cord

• Owner’s Manual

• All presser feet and accessories that originally came with the machine, including bobbins and spool caps (embroidery accessories are not needed in this class)

• Scissors

• Mettler 50 wt. cotton or polyester thread

• Empty bobbin

• Notepad and pen or pencil
